Fred Olsen reveals details of 'Fleet in Funchal' fiesta 2023
Leading UK-based small cruise ship specialist, Fred Olsen*, has revealed details of its 'Fleet in Funchal*' fiesta, which will take place in the Madeiran capital on 9 November 2023.
This, the third fleet reunion orchestrated by Fred Olsen, will mark the first time all four of the company's ships, Bolette*, Borealis*, Balmoral* and Braemar*, will be in the same port together since they set sail on cruises in summer 2021.
Each ship will embark on a different itinerary but come together for this day of celebration, which will include a quayside party and the chance for guests to explore other ships.
What's more, the four ships will all have a completely new look and it will be the first time they'll be reunited in their new livery.
Peter Deer, Managing Director at Fred Olsen, said: "This is set to be an incredible day in our history, as it will be the first time that our new-look fleet will be in port together since we set sail again last summer - and what better way to mark it than with a celebration with our guests?
"Our teams here are already busy curating a programme of events, and will be working very closely with the team in the Port of Funchal to ensure it is a truly memorable day for all.
"Of course, while our Fleet in Funchal event will undoubtedly be a highlight, each ship will be embarking on its own adventure, offering guests the chance to enjoy warmer climates during the British winter."

All in all, Fred Olsen will offer 40 sailings between June and October 2023 departing from ports across the UK including Southampton, Dover, London Tilbury, Liverpool, Newcastle, Rosyth (Edinburgh) and Belfast.
Choose from cruises such as Experience Spanish & Portuguese Traditions, departing from Rosyth on 2 July, Exploring Northern Norway - the Land of the Midnight Sun*, departing from Liverpool on 4 July and Exploring the Balkans & Adriatic with Venice, departing from Southampton on 18 September.
