US to lift travel ban for fully vaccinated on 8 November
In good news, the US will lift its 20-month ban on travellers from the UK, along with numerous EU nations and the likes of China, Iran, Brazil, South Africa and India, from 8 November 2021.
The US border will reopen to travellers who can show proof of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19, as well as proof of a negative Covid-19 test within three days prior to departure.
British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, said on twitter: "I am delighted that from November, @POTUS is reinstating transatlantic travel so fully vaccinated UK nationals can visit the USA. It's a fantastic boost for business and trade, and great that family and friends on both sides of the pond can be reunited once again."
